Since her college days Karen has balanced pleasure in design work with a passion for
drawing and printmaking. The result has been years of professional design experience,
with illustration and printmaking endeavors along the way.
Design work has included full-time employment with a reputable design firm, as well
as editorial, advertising, publishing, and corporate non-profit work. Her freelance
experience especially helped to hone her project management skills.
Karen has been invited to design and illustrate several books and CDs, which has
broadened her areas of expertise.
She pursued printmaking and figure drawing at Self-Help Graphics in East L.A., where
her exploration of narrative arts were encouraged and her creative expression flourished.
